D-A-S-H Dossier #2: Racism In The Stadium

The second edition of the D-A-S-H Dossier presents debates, events and projects that deal with racism in the stadium, and in so doing explores methods of media communication and networking. The most persistent forms of racism are those that establish themselves in the niches of everyday life. One of these niches is the football stadium. Here, where people are less inhibited and the atmosphere is rougher, people [can] yell homophobic, xenophobic and anti-Semitic slogans under cover of anonymity. Many football fans, however, are vehemently protesting against the rising social acceptance of racism and other forms of ostracism in the stadium. Fans, players and clubs are working together, creating campaigns and organizing events, to oppose these tendencies and to maintain the stadiums as places of cultural exchange. D-A-S-H Dossier #2 will present a few active fan projects.
